THE CULTURAL LEGACY OF UZBEKISTAN IN THE ART COLLECTIONS OF THE WORLD
During the years of independence, great work has been done and continues to revive the ancient history and rich culture of our people, study and spread comprehensively the scientific, religious and spiritual heritage of our great scientists, restore shrines and educate the young generation in the spirit of the traditions of the Uzbek people.
At the state level, special attention is paid to the further development, preservation and use of objects of material, cultural and archaeological heritage, as well as comprehensive study, popularization and promotion of unique cultural heritage sites, which are the national wealth of the peoples in Uzbekistan. Currently, there are Government Committees to coordinate issues related to the protection and use of cultural heritage sites.
In order to preserve the rich history, scientific, spiritual and intellectual heritage of our people, to inform specialists and the younger generation of its content and value, to identify the manuscripts of unique works by great scientists and thinkers stored in the treasures of the world, their scientific study, spread among the world community and preserve for the future generation a special state program and a “road map” have been created. The working group performs a number of specific activities.
Within the framework of the project The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Art Collections of the World, a multi-volume books about the cultural legacy of Uzbekistan in the art collections of the world representing unique artifacts of Uzbekistan stored in foreign funds was published by the Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan, project manager Firdavs Abdukhalikov. In addition, facsimiles of rare manuscripts were created and brought to our country. As a result of these good deeds, the museum funds are even more enriched with unique materials.
On December 10 of the current year, the exhibition The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Art Collections of the World” was opened at the State Museum of the Temurid History under the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences.

Abduhalikov Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Electronic Mass Media of Uzbekistan, head of the project The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Art Collections of the World, Kh. Fayziev Director of the State Museum of the Temurid History under the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences and D.Yusupova academician, professor, doctor of historical sciences at the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Raykhan Beruni delivered their welcoming speeches at the opening ceremony.
Then, the opening ceremony of the exhibition The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Art Collections of the World was held. The exhibition presented the book-albums of 13 volumes entitled Architectural epigraphy of Uzbekistan and 10 volumes dedicated to The Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan in the Art Collections of the World, as well as facsimile of the Koran Katta Langar, Code of Temur, Anthology of Husayniy by Sultan Husayn Baykara and 31 miniatures from the book Zafarnama by Sharafiddin Ali Yazdi.
At the end of the event, a tour along the halls of the museum was organized for guests. We are confident that these exhibitions will serve a wide society, especially the younger generation, who are brought up in the spirit of devotion to the motherland and national independence, for the growth of their self-awareness, respect for the rich and ancient traditions of our people and love for the priceless heritage of our ancestors.
